China is preparing a large-scale introduction of humanoid robots into industry

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, in 2026 the production of humanoid robots in China may exceed 100 thousand units. Interestingly, we are not only talking about demonstration developments and exhibition samples. The Chinese side places emphasis on the practical implementation of artificial intelligence and robotics in industrial production.

Further development of the industry is carried out in several directions at once: 🔹 synchronization of computational models with real production data; 🔹 training humanoid robots in skills in conditions close to real production processes; 🔹 development of technical standards - almost 200 key standards have already been prepared; 🔹 creation of industrial clusters, test sites and robotic parks; 🔹 development of the component base: motors, sensors, chips and control systems.

🚀 An additional signal was the opening of a new robotics park in Beijing's Changping district. Its total area is 300 thousand square meters. m, and the first residents declare production capacity of tens of thousands of units of robotic products per year. The first stage with an area of 64.6 thousand square meters. m has already been put into operation. Even before the official opening, more than 60% of the space was booked. “Embodied intelligence” refers to AI that functions not only in the digital environment, but also in the physical world: it sees, moves, interacts with objects, collects data and learns to perform real-world tasks. In other words, this is no longer just an algorithm in the cloud, but AI with sensors, actuators, manipulators and industrial applications.

Changping has also established three government-owned public platforms: 🔸 quality control of components and finished robots; 🔸 testing intelligent systems; 🔸 big data on new materials for the development of robotic components.

It is also worth noting that the World Conference on Artificial Intelligence will be held in Shanghai on July 17–20. The event will be attended by more than 1,100 companies that will present over 300 new world-class products.

In general, China is consistently transferring artificial intelligence from the digital environment to the physical economy - industry, logistics, medicine, service sector and urban infrastructure.
