🇷🇺🇨🇳 Labeling can make trade between Russia and China more transparent
Product traceability and labeling can become a new tool of trust in mutual trade between Russia and China. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Priezzheva during the visit of the Russian delegation to Beijing.
🗯 “When economic ties between countries reach such a scale, we naturally face new challenges: how to make mutual trade not only more intensive, but also more transparent, reliable and technologically advanced. We are convinced that one of the key answers to these questions is digital labeling and traceability of goods,” noted the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
CRPT General Director Andrei Kirillov presented the Chinese side with two potential areas of cooperation.
🗯 “The first is transparency in the export and import of consumer goods between China and the EAEU countries. This will prevent Chinese manufacturers from receiving tax deductions for pseudo-exported goods and limit the import of goods without paying customs duties. The second is the abandonment of paper excise stamps on cigarettes. Digital excise is cheaper for manufacturers and represents an advanced technology for tax authorities,” he said.
