🚘🛞🇨🇳 The center of the global auto industry has moved to China On April 24, the world's largest auto show, Auto China 2026, opened in Beijing and will last until May 3.
The cross-cutting theme of this event is “Future of Intelligence”. This choice is understandable, since, according to industry experts, the exhibition is largely symbolic, marking the transition of the automotive industry to the mass introduction of intelligent solutions.
In addition, the event reflected such key trends in industry development as the expansion of the use of vehicles powered by new energy sources (primarily electric vehicles), the widespread use of hybrid technologies, the promotion of autonomous driving programs, the introduction of air taxis and innovative digital solutions. Another important feature of the auto show was the expected dominance of Chinese manufacturers, whose global leadership has recently been talked about a lot by representatives of leading foreign automobile concerns and specialized experts. This state of affairs is confirmed by figures: in the first quarter of this year. The volume of automobile exports from China increased by 57% compared to the previous year and reached 2.226 million units, thereby setting a new historical record. Production and sales within China amounted to 7.039 and 7.048 million vehicles, decreasing by 6.9 and 5.6%, respectively, compared to the same period a year ago.
As reported, the exhibition occupies an area of 380 thousand square meters. m, which is equivalent to 53 football fields. The total number of exhibited vehicles was 1,451 units, of which 181 models were shown for the first time.
At the invitation of the organizers, specialists from the Russian Trade Representation in China visited the car show and held a number of meetings with Chinese partners, many of whom are very interested in developing cooperation with our country.
