👑 Folk arts and crafts already form an integral part of the creative economy. At the end of last year, the industry grew by more than 9%, said Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, at the awards ceremony for the laureates of the 1st National Prize in the field of folk arts and crafts.
🦪 The competition received applications from 52 regions. A figurine in the form of a shell with a pearl, symbolizing rarity and value, was awarded to enterprises and organizations that implemented the best educational, digital, public projects, as well as tourist routes to the localities of the crafts.
🤩 Valentina Matvienko spoke about industry support. In particular, the Federation Council together with the government will soon launch a personnel program in the field of non-technical production. The industries will also receive support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“This year, the federal budget provides 1 billion rubles for these purposes. And we hope that our young, energetic minister and his team will continue to increase financial support,” - she emphasized.
“Valentina Ivanovna expressed her wishes and instructions to us regarding the need to further increase support measures. This year we have almost tripled the amount of funding. But I realized that there is no limit to perfection, we will undoubtedly continue this work,” - answered the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Alikhanov. 🐴 Folk arts and crafts today include 380 companies, 1.5 thousand craftsmen and individual entrepreneurs and almost 5 thousand people working at industry enterprises, Alikhanov said, speaking at the ceremony.
