⚡️Roman Chekushov took part in the “Russian Retail Week”
The State Secretary - Deputy Minister spoke at the plenary session “Consumer market: balance between the need for government regulation and business freedom” and the strategic session “Trade model - image of the future”.
The main thing:
▶️Russian retail maintains steady growth: at the end of 2025, retail trade turnover reached 62.3 trillion rubles. The positive trend continues into 2026, with the share of online trading continuing to grow at double-digit rates.
▶️The development of trade must meet consumer demands: priorities include improving sales channels, developing the market for durable goods, improving the quality and safety of products, protecting the rights of consumers and suppliers.
▶️The fight against counterfeiting remains an absolute priority: the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade continues to work to eliminate counterfeit and unsafe products from circulation. Quality and safety requirements must be met regardless of the sales channel.
▶️The Russian trade industry is one of the best in the world in many respects: in terms of the level of digital services, in the availability of goods for citizens, in the speed of delivery, in the number of opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the market. Also on the sidelines of the forum, four cooperation agreements with industry associations were signed. The documents are aimed at improving legislation in the field of retail and online trade, protecting consumers and combating counterfeit products.
