Half a century ago, construction of an aviation industrial complex began in the Cherdaklinsky district of the Ulyanovsk region.
Today, the branch of JSC Il, Aviastar, is one of the most promising enterprises in Russia and occupies a worthy place among the world's leading manufacturers of aircraft. The aircraft plant's production capacity allows it to successfully implement large-scale innovative projects to create aircraft.
Aviastar has a wide range of technological operations: from stamping and machining to final assembly, ground and flight tests, and is the largest employer in the Ulyanovsk region.
